In assistance

My biggest insight during working as an assistant at the coaching course this autumn was this: I am done being an assistant, and want to keep on being in assistance.

The difference in there is huge for me. And as a friend put it: the source for the power is totally different. When being in assistance the power comes from within you. And when you are an assistant the power comes from the outside.

Can you see it?

I also understand today that I prefer the verb more than the noun. Active vs passive perhaps?

I’d rather facilitate than be a facilitator.

I’d rather lead than be a leader.

I’d rather be in assistance than be an assistant.
